Where It All Began
Jinked Tattoos was established in 2009 by JP and his family. It started in the back of my parents' house — one of the first licensed premises in a home to operate as a tattoo parlour. It wasn't glamorous, but it was real. The support from my family to chase my dream meant everything, and we did it. Just six months later, I was approached to rent my own shop, and that's when Jinked Tattoos Porthcawl was truly born.
Where it all started — the back room studio at my parents' house.
Award-Winning Work
We're proud to be multi award winners on the convention circuit. JP took 1st place for Best Black & Grey at the Halloween Tattoo Bash convention with a stunning Jack Nicholson portrait. We've also competed at the Clacton-on-Sea Tattoo Convention, coming 2nd place twice — once for a large black & grey backpiece, and again for a coloured portrait. Competing pushes us to be better, and the results speak for themselves.
Celebrity & Sporting Clientele
JP and Pops have had the privilege of tattooing some truly remarkable people — rugby players, footballers, combat sports athletes, and public figures. JP has tattooed Josh Adams, the Wales and British & Irish Lions rugby star, who came in for a piece commemorating the birth of his son, incorporating his Wales and Lions caps. JP also works closely with UFC rising star Oban Elliott — whose tattoos have been seen globally through UFC marketing, the Weekend Defender clothing line, and sports brands Fight Division and Tatami. Cardiff City and Wales international footballer Isaac Davies is another proud member of the Jinked family, along with many more of the Cardiff City squad. We're incredibly lucky to have such amazing clients — from public figures to everyday people — all trusting us with their skin.
