How long does a tattoo take to heal?

Surface healing takes 1 to 2 weeks, but full healing beneath the skin can take up to 4 weeks. Follow the aftercare instructions provided by your artist, keep the area clean and moisturised, and avoid sun exposure, swimming and soaking during the healing period.

Yes, when performed by a licensed professional in a clean, sterile environment. At Jinked Tattoo Club we use single-use needles, sterile equipment, and high-quality inks. All clients complete a medical disclaimer form before tattooing. If you have certain medical conditions, we'll advise whether tattooing is safe for you.

Can I get a tattoo if I'm pregnant?

We do not tattoo anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding. This is a standard safety precaution across the tattoo industry. We're happy to welcome you back after your pregnancy and breastfeeding period is over.

How do I prepare for a cover up tattoo consultation?

Take a clear photo of your existing tattoo in natural light. Think about what you'd like to cover it with — darker, denser designs work best for cover-ups. Bring reference images of styles you like. Your artist at Jinked Tattoo Club will assess the old tattoo and suggest the best cover-up approach during your consultation.

Yes, Jinked Tattoo Club offers gift vouchers that can be used towards any tattoo or merch purchase. Vouchers are available in various amounts and are valid for 6 months from purchase. Buy a gift voucher on our website and we'll email the voucher code to the recipient.

"What an amazing find in Porthcawl. 7 best friends all wanting a matching tattoo, including 3 nervous tattoo virgins. Great advice from the fantastic artist ‘Chappers’ who made everyone relaxed and made it into a real fun event. Fabulous atmosphere, attention to detail and so clean you could have eaten off the floor. !!!! ❤️"

"It's true what they say... when you go to Jinked Tattoos, you become part of the family. I've been various times over the last two years to finally do what I wanted to do 25 years ago... find a good artist who can deliver quality artwork and cover-ups of dated ink. Everything I've had done so far is spot on . Cheers JP Till my next sitting .... Neil 'Shep' Shepherd"

"I'd always wanted the Welsh Dragon tattooed, so when I found out that Jinked Tattoos is near the house of my friend I'm spending my holidays at, I tried to get an appointment at a quite short notice. I was lucky and had the tattoo done this afternoon in a very nice and friendly atmosphere. I would choose Jinked Tattoos any time again."
